The First Street Hoist: Edmonton’s Incline Railway at 101 Street

The First Street Hoist (also known as Hostyn’s Hoist, the Incline Railway and the Funicular Railway) was opened on May 18 1908 and stayed in operation (with numerous problems) for four years after.
