“4 Forms of Transportation” on 101 Street – Then and Now

Circa 1910s

This is a popular image of early Edmonton showing “4 forms of transportation” intersecting on 101 street. Until now, that location was forgotten. Now we know that this location was looking north on 101 street at about 104 avenue. The building to the left is Edmonton’s (now demolished) Immigration Hall. This photo was likely¬†taken prior to 1914 because the Macdonald Building (seen below in the Google Streetview imagery and on the EdHGIS map) appears absent.
