Mount Ross Apartments (122 Street and 102 Avenue)

The Mount Ross Apartments (AKA Montross) were built of beaverboard in about 1913 and burnt in a terrible fire in 1923. The only known picture of this building is an image of its ruins but we can place where it was using Google Earth and see its location in Google Streetview.

This forgotten story was a city tragedy. It claimed the lives of four children and rocked the city fire department to its core. Read more about it below…
